The new look website at www.emberjd.com allows people to get instant quotes for let properties, unoccupied properties and travel insurance. It also has quote forms for home buildings and contents insurance, blocks of flats insurance and home insurance for ex offenders. Once submitted, the forms then go through to the brokers who aim to respond with a quote in most cases within 24 hours.
Ember JD employee David Nash says the new website is necessary in an age where people expect to be able to obtain insurance quotes without getting on the phone. "Our old site was very dated on not very user friendly" he said. "Our quote forms were very basic and nine times out of ten it resulted in us having to contact the customer for further information before being able to provide them with a quote. Now the forms are very thorough and gather all the information required in order to get a competitive premium."
The new website will soon have the facility to get instant cover on high value home and motor insurance as well as classic car policies and small private fleets of vehicles. There will also be a quote option for public and employers liability insurance, although quotes for this are still available over the phone.
David went on to say, "We find ourselves taking a lot of enquiries through the website, especially at the weekend. We wanted a website that wasn't too flash but was easy enough for people to navigate and get exactly where they want to go with a minimum of fuss. This new site will now arm us with all the information we need, most quotes are given within 24 hours, even at weekends when the office isn't open. We're sure our customers will embrace this change and find everything a bit easier."
