ION Computer Systems Reintroduces it’s SR-71 SpeedServer™

ION Computer Systems, Inc. today introduced its enhanced SR-71 SpeedServer™ at Supercomputing 2009 in Portland, Oregon.  The SR-71 has an array of twenty four (24) of the highest performing Intel® X25-E solid state disks along with the latest Intel Xeon® processors and server board in a new, compact 2U (3.5” high)  chassis.   Performance has been enhanced using Intel 6Gbps SAS RAID controllers.  This combination of technologies delivers very high transaction rates measured in I/O operations per second (IOPS) at an affordable price.

The SR-71 SpeedServer™ also includes 7x24x4-hour on-site support as well as an On-Site Critical Spare Parts kit included in the cost of the unit.
