These four Chinese celebrities support the goal of this campaign: to combat the negative impact of climate change on developing countries and future generations around the world.  “The clock is ticking. Tck tck tck: it’s time for climate justice.” This phrase is the slogan of the global “Climate Justice” campaign. “Tck Tck Tck” symbolizes that the world urgently needs a global climate change agreement to be decided at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December.
Jet Li, Khalil Fong, Sa Ding Ding, and Li Xin participated in the campaign song ‘Beds Are Burning’, which was launched in October. Kofi Annan and The:Hours company made the song to serve as a campaign petition.  This song is a remake of the 1987 Midnight Oil song ‘Beds Are Burning’. More than 50 celebrities from around the world participated in the song and music video. ‘Beds Are Burning’ is available for free download on the campaign website. Jet Li, Khalil Fong, Sa Ding Ding, Li Xin and the other artists hope to use their celebrity status to encourage the general public to positively/actively respond to the Climate Justice initiative and become a member of the ‘Time for Climate Justice’ climate change team.
Jet Li said:
“Let's open our hearts, the earth actually is one big family with 6.7 billion human beings.  […] I hope you participate in the campaign. If each of us does a little, the earth will be changed.  Tck, Tck, Tck... ”
Kofi Annan said:
“Climate change is the greatest humanitarian challenge facing mankind today. And it is a challenge that has a grave injustice at its heart. It is the major developed economies of the world which contribute the overwhelming majority of global greenhouse emissions. But it is the poorer and least developed nations that are hit hardest by its impact.  This is, I believe, a critical moment in the campaign to mobilize people around the world to demand climate justice.’
Those who want to “help a little bit” have two simple ways to support the movement for climate justice:
1. Upload one’s own ‘Tck’ video, picture, message, or short video saying ‘Tck’ on the campaign’s ‘Human Clock’ [link: http://www.timeforclimatejustice.org/clip/]
2. Download for free the campaign song and music video ‘Beds Are Burning’ [link: http://www.timeforclimatejustice.org/downloads/]
Now is the time!

Climate change is having a real impact on the lives of individuals and communities worldwide. According to a report by the GHF, climate change is already leading to 300,000 deaths each year. These deaths mainly occur in developing countries. The fundamental principle of climate justice is that emissions are not free, and emitters of greenhouse gas emissions are required to pay the price. Those who suffer the worst effects of climate change, countries and peoples - both now and in the future – are in fact the most innocent.
This December at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, every country's leaders will have the opportunity to put forward a strong, viable post-climate agreement that will help our planet become a better place to live. The conference will also decide on a post-2012 framework agreement on climate change mitigation.
