Nov. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- Deidre Wayans, third oldest sibling of the talented Wayans Family, recently completed a reality television pilot for her company, Wayans Girl Productions.   In partnership with FastLane Pictures, an Atlanta-based entertainment company, the reality show is designed to provide an entertainment platform for untapped female comedic talent.  The pilot episode was taped in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wayans selected Atlanta because she believes that the city has established its niche for becoming the “entertainment capital of the south” – which is due in large part to the influence of actor/producer/filmmaker, Tyler Perry.  In addition to Perry, Atlanta is also home to the husband/wife acting team of Boris &Nicole Kodjoe, Rainforest Productions and other diverse industry talent.   “Atlanta is definitely fertile ground for established and untapped talent ” says FastLane’s Vice President, Michelle Kuykendall.

Wayans, who has worked with her family on several film and television projects, utilized the experience she gained as a platform in building her own company.  “The experience of working with Ivory Way Productions was invaluable, and now I look forward to stepping into my own spotlight and shining it on others”, says Wayans.

Wayans Girl Productions and FastLane Pictures have several other projects currently in development.
