One Alabama-based company, who got its' start through innovation, is now taking an innovative approach to raise emergency capital. Jason Manning, CEO of The Manning Group, is preparing to publish his new book, Save My Company, Buy This Book, It is one in which he tells his story of starting a company from nothing, the fundamental knowledge that he has gained along the way and how to avoid mistakes that many new entrepreneurs make. He shares the struggles that he and his family have dealt with and the story of how he was well on his way to becoming a successful entrepreneur only to be knocked down by another company’s dishonesty.
Back in October of 2008, The Manning Group, LLC began production of a new patented safety product, The Hazard Isolation and Warning Barrier. At that point, it had been years in the making, and production was to be complete by the end of the year. Several months and tens of thousands of dollars later, the company still did not have a quality product from its chosen manufacturer who had also breeched payment agreements. As a result The Manning Group, LLC ran out of capital and was forced to start back at square one. This would be enough to keep some entrepreneurs from moving any further. Not Jason Manning! He immediately went looking for capital and is in the process of seeking investors, but he also had an idea of a different kind. He was already in the process of writing a book that he would not complete until he had taken his company all the way and hopefully sold it. He decided to change things up and share his story of struggle and wanted to inspire people. Especially, would-be entrepreneurs!
"There are too many people counting on me at this point. People who believed in me enough to invest their hard earned money with only a handshake and my word. By the grace of GOD, there is no way that I am going let them down!"
Using proceeds from his book, he intends to start production up again and create jobs over the next few months. He is now asking for your help. The book will be released early 2010, but it’s Jason’s goal to pre-sell 50,000 copies by year’s end so the company can get up and running again by January. He needs your help to do it. Please visit www.saveourcompany.org to reserve your copy of this book now. In doing so, you will be helping to create jobs, when they’re needed most, and to keep this entrepreneur’
