Such A Voice just released the Top 5 Finalists of their KatWalk Contest on their blog. The KatWalk Contest, an amateur voiceover contest that ran from Monday, November 2nd through Monday, November 10th, had contestants choose between a commercial script or a narration script to read as a voiceover demo. Would-be voiceover artists were notified about the contest via email, and an introductory video shot by Kat Maund and Cat Marshall was posted on their blog and YouTube.
Kat Maund and Cat Marshall, Such A Voice's Social Media Marketing Director and PR Director, were overwhelmed by the number of submissions they received for the contest. In one week, they received over 1,300 voice-over demos from people vying for the contest prizes. The Winner of the contest will receive Such A Voice's Masters Program voiceover training package, which includes hours of one-on-one voiceover training and a professionally recorded and mastered demo. The Runner Up will receive Such A Voice's A+ Package, which includes three hours of in-studio one-on-one training and professionally recorded and mastered demo.
The Voice Evaluation Team chose the Top 5 Finalists and posted their names on the blog, and now the viewers and participants must vote on the best voice-over demo before Sunday, November 15th at midnight. The Finalists are Lucas Keppel, Rachel Heffron, Josh Keller, Marshall Blansfield, and Nell Bradford. People can vote on the blog by going to: www.suchavoice.blogspot.com
There, you can access the contest page, where you may listen to the voice-overs and vote on the best one. Cat and Kat will release the names of the winners on the blog on Monday, November 16th. The KatWalk Contest is the first voice-over contest that Such A Voice has held, and they hope to hold future contests at a later point in time.
