Nov. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Winery Wedding Guide searched through Michigan's some 65 wineries in four far-flung wine regions of the state to find those that have the facilities and permits to host wedding celebrations. All are located along the state’s designated winery trails: Lake Michigan Shore, Leelanau Peninsular, Southeast Michigan, and Old Mission Peninsula.

In addition, while not available for ceremonies, additional wineries are listed as venues for such wedding-related events as family gatherings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers.

Winery weddings – unique, romantic, unforgettable – are hot, with more and more brides-to-be dreaming of lush vineyards and picturesque wineries as the perfect setting for a perfect day.

Organized by state and region, the guide is a definitive listing of those wineries among the nation’s some 6,000 with the permits and facilities to provide a winery-wedding celebration.  The listing is able to be all-inclusive because no winery pays to be listed.

In addition to Michigan, to date the guide’s definitive list include California, Oregon, Washington, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Texas..

Some wineries offer complete soup-to-nuts packages, able to arrange everything from an elegant suite for changing into wedding finery to an off-to-your-honeymoon departure through the vineyards in a horse-drawn carriage. Others provide nothing more than the setting.  Needless to say, glorious scenery is a given.
