(Los Angeles, CA) Skip1.org, the organization dedicated to raising funds for the hungry by asking people to simply skip something as trivial as a latte, car wash, pack of gum, is getting an early start with the Thanksgiving spirit by asking everyone to participate in their “11/11” campaign. The campaign encourages everyone to simply skip something worth $11 on November 11th, 2009 and donate that amount instead to help feed 1,100 families living here in the US during Thanksgiving.
In association with Children’s Hunger Fund, donations will go to bringing food to children and families in need across America. For up-to-date information, visit Skip1.org or follow them on Twitter at twitter.com/
“For so many of us, November is the month of giving thanks,” said Shelene Bryan, Skip1.org’s founder. “This is an easy way for us to give back and help families living right here in the U.S. during this special holiday time.”
This event follow’s Ashley Tisdale’s November 10th Glamour/Sephora Beauty Insider event held in NY which offered $10 donations for every purchase to her favorite charity organization--
