(Atlanta, GA) Super producer Polow da Don and music executive Mia A. Welsh announce the date of the third annual Thanksgiving Carnival presented by Zone 4, Incorporated and Foundation F.O.C.U.S. on November 24, 2009. For the third consecutive year, Polow and his music label, Zone 4, Inc., will be giving away over 500 turkeys as well as accepting submissions for his “Free Rent For A Year” contest which relieves an individual or family from paying their rent or mortgage for an entire year based on hardships they are currently facing. With the assistance of sponsors including: BMI, Publix, The Lowman Group (Athlete’s Foot, Supreme and FAME) and Kroger, Polow is equipped to make someone’s dream a reality.
As Polow da Don embarks on more charitable efforts with the recent launch of Foundation F.O.C.U.S. (Focusing On Completion Until Successful), he wants to remind people it is imperative to do our part in serving our communities. “I wanted to start something that nobody else was doing, my success musically should coincide with the carnival, I want to make it bigger and better every year,” said Polow da Don when asked why he started the carnival. “This is the type of stuff that really matters, Atlanta raised me and allowed me to use music as a platform, so now it’s my turn to say thank you and give back.”
Aside from the various items that will be given away, the Thanksgiving Carnival will also be jam packed with rides, prizes, food, pony rides, petting zoos, games and entertainment at the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s list of performers include Zone 4, Inc. artists: Keri Hilson, Rich Boy, Jared Evan, Ester Dean and the Hemphill Kids as well as artists Gucci Mane and DJ Unk. The event will be broadcasted live on V-103 and hosted by DJ Greg Street. The carnival will be held from 4 P.M. (EST) until 10 P.M. (EST) and people are encouraged to arrive early in order to ensure they receive a turkey.
Co-founder of Foundation F.O.C.U.S. and General Manager of Zone 4, Inc., Mia A. Welsh said, “We are grateful to be in a position to give back to those who are in need of our support and we look forward to this Thanksgiving initiative being a staple in the community for years to come”.
The carnival is free of charge for everyone in attendance, but Foundation F.O.C.U.S. is encouraging those who are able and willing to support to log on to www.foundationfocus.org and give back through a donation under the “Make A Donation” section.
