Sylvia Lester, a member of The Cinema City International Film Festival Grant Program co-starred in short film titled, ”The Only Way out “. This World War II drama, written and directed by Gary Brockett, centers around two Jewish sisters faced with the horrors of a Nazi Concentration camp. When they are asked to disrobe and enter the gas chamber, a sympathetic Jewish Prisoner played by Paul Divito, displays an unexpected act of bravery. Sylvia plays the memorable role of Nurse Braun.
Other cast members from the Mentorship Program include Savannah Ward in the starring role of the wealthy, young Jewish Woman and Samantha Lester who plays her younger sister. Paul Divito co-stars as the heroic Jewish prisoner. Other cast members include Sharon Ryan, Deborah Rombaut, Danielle Lester, Catherine Tallichet, Eric Kowalski, Mallory O’Donoghue, Marc Mazur, Jesse Cyr and David Michaelson.
About Sylvia Lester: Sylvia Lester was born with a passion for singing and dancing. She learned to act early and thrust herself into the South Texas Musical Theater scene. She has since toured Europe, singing and dancing her way through East and West Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, France and Holland. When she is not serving as an international soloist, Sylvia donates her time and passion to her community and two lovely daughters. She has taught Ballet, Ballet Folklorico, and served as a Choreographer for a Texas Varsity Cheerleading Coach, where she learned the meaning of competition and intensity. Sylvia has found no greater joy than sharing her love for the performing arts, and looks forward to bringing her talent and teaching to the Greater Los Angeles Area.
The film is slated for the Film Festival circuit in Mid-December 2010.
