The telephone conference brand will roll out the activity across London this week to promote their free conference calling (http://www.powwownow.co.uk/
In August 2009 Powwownow published figures outlining the substantial savings their free conference call service made. Within their first 5 years of trading, the company helped 101,597 SMEs save in overall £21 million in conference calling costs alone by using their free service instead.
Andy Pearce, CEO of Powwownow said, “As as one of the little guys we wanted to create a tongue in cheek response to the aviation industries insistence that we all fly to meetings. In my mind conference calls allow you to reach the same decision at faction of the cost and SMEs should not be bullied into taking loads of unnecessary flights’.

(The customer does not need to book a conference room and never receives a bill from Powwownow, just the cost of a 0844 call added to their bill). Turnover for 2009 is expected to reach £7m. The company operates in 15 countries including the US and major European markets.
