Savannah Ward Stars in CCIFF Grant Film “The Only Way Out”

Two women trapped in a Nazi Concentration Camp find themselves in an unexpected act of Bravery.

Savannah Ward, a member of the The Cinema City International Film Festival Grant Program recently completed a short film titled, ”The Only Way out “.   This World War II drama, written and directed by Gary Brockett, centers around two Jewish sisters faced with the horrors of a Nazi Concentration camp.  When they are asked to disrobe and enter the gas chamber, a sympathetic Jewish Prisoner, trying to escape by hiding in a shipping crate, displays an unexpected act of bravery.  Savannah Ward plays the lead character, a wealthy, young Jewish Woman.  “Savannah gave a brilliant performance,” said thirty year veteran film producer, Suzanne DeLaurentiis.

The film is slated for the Film Festival circuit in Mid-December 2010.

About Savannah Ward: Multi-talented Savannah Ward stepped into the limelight at age thirteen when her CD "Grace Redeems It All" was released. Her solo CD was spring-boarded from performing the preceding 8 years in the mother-daughter duo, "This Little Light". In high school, Savannah sang in the All-State Madrigal Choir, played trumpet in the marching band, and ran track. Savannah continued her education at NYU, where she studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

After a semester in the Stone Street Film and TV Studio and studying abroad in Florence, Italy, she graduated in 2007 and moved to Hollywood. Savannah loves acting both on stage and on film, and also enjoys art, science.

The film also features Paul Divito as the heroic Jewish prisoner.  Other cast members include Marc Mazur, Jesse L. Cyr, Sylvia Lester, Sharon Ryan, Deborah Rombaut, Danielle Lester, and Catherine Tallichet , Eric Kowalski, Mallory O’Donoghue and David Michaelson.
