Danielle Lester, a member of the Cinema City International Film Festival Grant Program recently co-starred in the short film titled, ”The Only Way out “. This World War II drama, written and directed by Gary Brockett, centers around two Jewish sisters faced with the horrors of a Nazi Concentration camp. When they are asked to disrobe and enter the gas chamber, a sympathetic Jewish Prisoner, (trying to escape persecution by hiding in a shipping crate), displays an unexpected act of bravery.
Danielle co-stars alongside other members of the Mentorship Program which includes Savannah Ward, the lead character who portrays a wealthy, young Jewish Woman alongside her co-star, Samantha Lester. Other supporting cast members are Jesse L. Cyr, Sylvia Lester, Sharon Ryan, Deborah Rombaut, Catherine Tallichet Eric Kowalski, Mallory O’Donoghue, David Michaelson and Marc Mazur.
About Danielle Lester: Danielle has been dancing since age 3 when she first started her ballet class. She since added tap, jazz, Mexican Folklorico, Tango, Salsa, Hip Hop and not to be considered a copy cat by her sister, she decided to do karate as well. 1st degree black belt! When it came to musical theater, she seemed to like the behind the scenes stuff. She has been in charge of music, dressing, and properties just to mention a few. That has also changed, since she moved to Los Angeles. Danielle has been a lead or featured performer in all the theater productions at Bell Jeff High School where she is a Jr Honors student. She plays piano and guitar and enjoys singing as well as getting good grades in hopes of being accepted to a great University. In the meantime, she just enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on her music and acting, auditioning, and maybe portraying Young Prentiss on Criminal Minds again!
“The Only Way Out” is slated for the Film Festival circuit in Mid-December 2010.
