MysteryLand is a Dutch festival taking place during a single day and every year engages more than 300 artists. The festival area is crowded of people coming from all across Europe, to attend brilliant shows and concerts. Of course, all these persons are interested in the festival programme and in the highlights from all the events.
Waymedia's partner BluetoothReclame took on the challenge and created a communication system based on Bluetooth technology, enabling the organizers to contact the public directly on their mobile phone. For the occasion BluetoothReclame put several MobiTouch Cube units in strategic areas of the festival. The Bluetooth platforms sent a mobile event-guide to the audience together with an interactive map of the venue. With just one click, each visitor could access all the information he needed to get around the event. In other words, users were able to download multimedia content free of charge, just turning on Bluetooth on their mobile phone.
This Bluetooth campaign had a great outcome. More than 45% of the festival visitors was contacted where from more than 40% accepted the message. This results in more than 20% of the vistors from this festival was using the mobile application.
Thanks to Mobitouch, BluetoothReclame was able to create an effective marketing action with a minimal investment, nevertheless able to give great performances.
