Nov. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES – Celebrities will be taking to the red carpet on Wilshire’s Miracle Mile tomorrow to help raise critical funds for Los Angeles area youth living in the streets. Among the celebrities confirmed for The Movement – a fashion show, concert and silent auction benefiting Spare Some Change – are Summer Glau, Leila Arcieri, Brandon Routh, Willie Mac, Tania Gunadi and Thomas Jane.

“We are looking forward to a star studded event featuring a great fashion show, musical entertainment and some great silent auction items all helping out the homeless youth in Los Angeles,” said Event Producer Sasha Arciniega. “I am very excited to see the entire community come out, including some Hollywood stars, for this very important benefit event.”

The event, hosted by Annie “McFunny” McKnight will feature live music from Starpool (featuring members of No Doubt, Save Ferris & Freakdaddy); DJ Taryn Manning & The White Kidz and DJ Zad. Meanwhile a benefit fashion show produced by Magnum Opus will also be held at The Movement featuring some new hip clothing from major designers such as Collections by RJ; Victor Louis Couture; ABS; ONI and even Street Youth Couture from Unwanted Kids.

“It is going to be a fun event with an important mission,” Arciniega said. “We want to raise funds so that homeless youth have someone to turn to during the upcoming holiday season.”

Part of the funds raised for the organization will also come from a number of very special silent auction items including an autographed Incubus Drum Head & Poster; autographed Weezer Package; Michael Jackson Memorial Program; autographed Wayne Gretzky Jersey; autographed Jason Lee Skateboard & Headshot and much more.

Spare Some Change is an ongoing media campaign and movement to raise awareness for America’s homeless youth. It is their mission to engage, enlighten and empower audiences in order to create a positive movement for social change. The group is sponsored by the Creative Visions Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
