World Must Encourage ‘New America’ Mediazone Boss Tells Global Business Leaders
For a world united by its fight against economic recessions, global warming and terrorism, the new American leadership comes as a welcome relief, said Glenn Rogers, CEO of Hong Kong-based Mediazone Group, in a broadcast to the international press today.
“America’s mandate for President Obama is all the proof the world needs that the United States wants to partner with anyone keen on progress, global harmony and a united stand against the problems that face us today, and tomorrow.
His remarks came soon after the Associated Press in Japan announced Obama’s intention to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, cities devastated by US atomic bombs at the end of World War II.
“An appalling lack of political talent has brought the world no closer to bliss. In fact, we have collectively nearly destroyed the planet, all but depleted our natural resources and brought our generation more division than unity. Now that there is hope with a new American leader, the world will do well to support Obama and start afresh.”
“If anything, the American people deserve a break after years of misguidance by their former leaders. The world now has an opportunity to work with an America keen on partnership and progress. The new American leader must be encouraged. He has much to offer. He leads. He does not conform. We need that sort of courage in the White House particularly in these times of trial.”
