SOMEPIC Technologie is a family-owned company located in northern France and specialized in precision mechanics. The company prides itself on its quality know-how, a 100% French production, tailored services, a continued search for innovation, reactivity and a capacity to adapt. SOMEPIC is exhibiting at the SAE AeroTech Congress and Exhibition in Seattle, Wash., from Nov. 10 to 12, 2009, as part of the Aerospace France Pavilion, booth 513.
Working in a wide range of sectors, SOMEPIC Technologie makes tailored parts to answer the special needs of its customers. Some examples include surgical screws, golf putters, and leak detectors for toilets. The company accompanies its customers in any new process. Its activity in the aerospace sector represents a turnover of more than 5.9 million USD. The company has worked for Airbus since 1988, making elementary parts, small sub-assemblies, and subcontracting stages such as fitting, bonding of bushings or staking.
SOMEPIC Technologie builds A320's door mechanisms for Airbus, elementary parts for the last 787 from Boeing, parts for the Falcon jets from the famous aeronautics manufacturer Dassault, for the Chinese plane ARJ21, and for Sukhoi's Super Jet 100. The company is currently working on the latest A350 project for Airbus. In 2009, SOMEPIC Technologie participated in the Paris Air Show.
Created in 1961, SOMEPIC Technologie started its activity by manufacturing hydraulic systems for the aerospace industry. Philippe Doyen took over the company in 1967 and widened the range of its activities. His daughter, Aline Doyen, took over in 2003 and kept developing the company, betting on the production of small tailored series for all activity sectors. The company has 114 employees and achieved a turnover of $14.3 millions in 2008. It is performing a turnover annual growth of 5% to 7% since Alice Doyen's takeover in 2003.
