EDGEWATER, N.J.– Marian Gordon, vice president of business development for Yippee Print & Marketing in Edgewater, New Jersey, will be a featured presenter at the annual How to Start a T-Shirt Line boot camp course at the Learning Annex. The all-day workshop, held in midtown Manhattan on November 21, will be led by t-shirt entrepreneur Keith Knight of Psycho Therapy Clothing, and includes panel discussions on a variety of related topics. Gordon, who has partnered with Knight for several years to present the t-shirt workshop, will appear as the industry expert on corporate branding.
“The t-shirt workshop is very informative for those starting out in the business or considering it,” said Gordon, a 28-year veteran of the printing industry. “Creative people who want to design shirts also need to be aware of the business side of apparel, and how to create a recognizable brand.”
Gordon, who has deep expertise in screen printing and embroidery for apparel, will instruct attendees about developing a corporate brand for an apparel line by creating a distinct look for their t-shirt designs; how to carry that look throughout a product line; and how to integrate designs into a screen printed product. The workshop will also cover such diverse topics as publicity, selling online, taking designs from concept to completion, and how to market and expand a t-shirt line.
Yippee Print & Marketing (http://www.yippeeprinting.com) offers digital printing in all formats, screen printing, custom apparel embroidery, promotional products, graphic design services and corporate branding. Gordon noted that several attendees from past workshops have gone on to create unique t-shirt lines, and have turned to her for help with screen printing.
How to Start a T-Shirt Line will be held on November 21, 2009 starting at 12 noon. Over 200 attendees are already registered for the popular program. Registration and location details are available online at www.learningannex.com/
