Janet Cappellini is a principal and Director of Operations for Alternative Staffing, Inc.  She graduated magna cum laude from Illinois State University with a degree in social work.  She is a Certified Staffing Specialist by the National Association of Personnel Services as well as a Certified Staffing Professional by the American Staffing Association.  Cappellini is a member of the North Charleston Rotary Club, the team leader for the Roundball Classic and has been a literacy coordinator for 7 years.  Cappellini is the first female auxiliary probation officer in Charleston and a member of the three tri-county Chambers of Commerce.

“As past Chair of the TWIB Youth Advisory Council, I had the distinct and wonderful opportunity to interact with One Stop staff and partners, Palmetto Youth Connections and the Adult Education offices of Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties.  I am especially proud of how expedient, and efficient our staff acted in creating and implementing our summer youth employment program. With funds from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act, we were able to coordinate and oversee summer employment for over 560 area youth.”

Tommy Pruitt, Senior Government Communications and Public Relations Director for Force Protection Industries, believes “the key to the further economic development of the Charleston region lies with the quality of the workforce available to current and potential employers.  If we do not do everything we can as a region to ensure that the workforce is adequately prepared, we are at an extreme disadvantage in continuing to prosper and provide opportunities for future generations.”

Pruitt graduated from Limestone College in Gaffney, SC.  His professional affiliations include:  the Society of Human Resources Management, International Association of Business Communicators, Public Relations Society of America, National Investor Relations Institute, Lowcountry Manufactures Council, Charleston Defense Contractors Association, Association of the United States Army, the Marine Corps Association, and is the Charleston Chamber Military Relations Committee Chair.

Brenda R. Myers is the Administrator for Roper St. Francis Healthcare- Berkeley.  Myers is a career hospital executive, having begun her hospital career at Baker Hospital, (later purchased by Roper Hospital).  Prior to assuming her duties in Moncks Corner, SC, she served as Director of Operations for Physician Services and Worksite Partners and as Practice Administrator for CAMSO, and Baker Hospital.

Myers currently serves as Vice President on the Callen-Lacey Advisory Board, and is a member of the Moncks Corner Rotary Club. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Charleston, and a 2008 graduate of Leadership Berkeley. She also served as an Honorary Commander of the 437th Airlift Wing’s Medical Group at the Charleston Air Force Base.

"I am privileged to serve on the Trident Workforce Investment Board representing Berkeley County.  I look forward to working  with community leaders and being a strong advocate in providing quality workforce development services to the residents of Berkeley County, " said Myers.
