Types of Airport Parking Explained

But, before all this happens, you have to go through the stresses of getting to your flight. A lot of times it means that you have to drive to the airport. But then there is one problem, where do you park. There is always the easy option of parking in the airport car park.  But researching what type airport parking would be best could save you money and effort. So here is a list of options of different types of parking available;

Onsite Parking
This is usually the type of parking that is right next to the airport. With secure parking, and express routes to the terminal. It is the easiest but can also be the most expensive.

Off site
This is usually the cheapest option for parking at the airport and sometimes the car park will provide some form of transport to the airport terminals.

Park and ride
This is usually in the middle bracket price range and some people find it just as easy as parking near the airport but without the traffic etc. The usual process is to go to a car park which is around 1-2 miles away from the airport and then a form of transportation will get you (and usually a few other passengers) to the airport together.

Meet and greet
This form of car parking is becoming more popular. People find it to be the best way of parking and the easiest. The appeal is that once you return to collect your car, instead of having to find the car park, the car will be ready and waiting for you outside the terminal so you can leave straight away, almost like just being picked up by a friend. The price is usually a little higher than normal parking, but people find that paying a little extra for the added convenience is worth it.
