Rembe FibreForce'S New Sensors FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 10, 2009 – The SPASS® - Dremodisc equipped with a special plastic optical fibre that uses the side pressure sensitivity of the optical conductivity for the detection of the true pressure load on the surface of the washer in a bolt and nut/flange connection.
The MoniSeal does the same but is embedded in a sealing that is used for tightening of a flange connection, indicating even a sectoral loss of pressure load on the circumference of a flange, caused by tilts, when connected pipes are not properly installed. The MoniBolt uses the Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) principle to measure the current bolt pretension. Both permanent and periodic monitoring is possible, since no recalibration is required. For safe handling the optical cable is detachable by the use of an industrially approved connectorization in the screw head. # # # Since 2006 REMBE® FIBRE FORCE GMBH has been developing, manufacturing and selling the latest sensor techniques on basis of fibre optical and semiconductor physics. Special customers’ requirements are realised. The fibre optical washer SPASS®-Dremodisc and the fibre optical signalling membrane are the highlights of this research.
