Restaurant Takes Top Spot as Most Searched Keyword on YellowPages Egypt

Nov. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Cairo, Egypt – In October, Yellow.com.eg users performed 5,923 searches with the keyword restaurant, making it the number one searched keyword during the month.

“The change is due to our new categorization system, which separates restaurants listed alphanumerically from restaurants from which you can order in and restaurants where you eat out. We’ve also taken the time to categorize all 5,000-plus restaurants by cuisine, giving our user base the freedom and convenience of finding new restaurants, contacting their long-time favorites, ordering in, and making reservations to eat out,” said Marc Lambert, Regional Managing Director for Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd.

Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd closely tracks keyword and category searches on Yellow.com.eg in order to adjust its online strategies, inform management decisions, and enhance content for the benefit of both its clients and end-users.

In October, the 5,923 restaurant searches were closely followed by hotel with 5,343 searches. Ranking third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, were bank, furniture, and school with 2,653, 2,428, and 2,388 keyword searches.
