People who lived in rural Kansas in the 1920s felt connected to each other, from the young, to the old, and back again. But that's not where their attachments ended. Mother Nature played a big part in their rustic way of life as well.
Little Scavenger is a tribute to Jimmie, the spirited and sociable squirrel that befriended three brothers – Ted, Ed, and Bill Foust – during the challenging years of the depression era. Through many thrilling antics, Jimmie charmed the three boys, their family, and their town. This is a true story of days gone by. It shows us how even the smallest among us can offer the greatest support through friendship, joyfulness, and shared activity. Little Scavenger is a delight that will be passed down from generation to generation.
