Career Quest Learning Centers, a group of career training schools in Mid-Michigan, announces their fall graduation on Nov. 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. The ceremony, to be held at Eaton Rapids High School, will honor graduates from all of Career Quest’s career training programs.

Graduation from Career Quest marks an important time in the lives of the career training school’s students. Upon graduation, the students may elect to sit for certification exams, but are now ready to move directly into their career field. The Michigan career training facility begins job placement assistance immediately; many students have jobs arranged already, despite the state of the economy.

“Career Quest aims to provide the most focused career training possible,” said Todd Brewer, Career Quest’s Executive Director.  “By providing hands-on training, often in their future workplace, Career Quest gives students the advantage they need to secure a long-term career. We honor these students at graduation for completing these challenging but rewarding programs. ”

Recently, the IT Professional program at Career Quest saw the largest number of students start on August. 10. Information technology is one of the fastest growing sectors in the Capital Area, having grown 20% between 1998 and 2004—seven times the rate of usual job sector growth.  Graduates of the IT Professional Program will be qualified for employment as Help Desk Support Specialists, computer hardware technicians, and other computer related fields.  Career Quest also has programs in medical administrative assistant, Microsoft office certifications, medical assisting and administrative office. The ceremony will be held on November 14, 2009 at the Eaton Rapids High School located at 800 State Street.  The Graduates will be asked to arrive by 1:30 for the 2:00 ceremony.
