Providence, RI -- The inaugural StyleWeek Providence, celebrating the region’s long-standing and influential role in fashion and design, will be held June 6-11, 2010.
The five-day showcase will feature fashion shows and events at the Providence’s premiere venues. StyleWeek Providence will both celebrate the region’s strong creative bent, and offer buyers and media the opportunity to discover the hottest new talent in fashion and accessory design.
“StyleWeek Providence is a true collaboration between the City of Providence, the creative community and the business community,” said Rosanna Ortiz Sinel, founder of StyleWeek Providence. “This will be a week to highlight the innovation in fashion and style, with the backdrop of our gorgeous, unique and historic city. We have received so much support across industries; we’ve discovered that there is a want for this type event and, more importantly, a need.”
StyleWeek Providence, a non-profit organization, will kick off its inaugural event on June 6, 2010, with a celebration and show, poolside, at the stunning Aqua in Providence. Aspire, meanwhile, the prestigious venue at the upscale boutique Hotel Providence, will host the closing gala on June 11, 2010.
A complete list of StyleWeek designers, along with a full schedule of events, will be announced soon. Attendance at these events will be by invitation only for qualified buyers and press.
