Sun worshippers can now get rid of embarrassing tan-lines without spending extra hours in the sun.

UK designer, Kiniki has developed a fabric that lets the wearer achieve the all-over bronzed look in one sitting – meaning no going back to top up bits that didn’t see the sun the first time.

Ranging from revealing men’s tangas to more conservative ladies’ cossies and wraps, Kiniki’s latest collection has been the biggest hit of the summer in the UK and is now coming to Australia.

“Us Brits usually have more white than bronzed bits, but over in Australia I’d imagine it’s the other way round,” says John Walker, founder of Kiniki.

“Our latest swimwear takes away the hassle of tan-lines, which instantly reduces those extra hours needed in the sun – or on a sunbed – getting rid of them.”

Established in 1976, the company has grown from a bedroom start-up business for mail order men’s underwear into a British manufacturing success story, sending tangas to Tonga and briefs to Brazil, and averaging around 1 million sales a year.

Kiniki’s tan-through range is transparent when held up to the light. Thousands of microscopic holes in the mesh fabric allow 80 per cent of sunlight to penetrate through to the skin.

However the garment is covered in 'magic eye'-style animal prints and abstract patterns which mean onlookers only see a solid block of fabric.
