In Early 2009, Ambient Channel released a self-titled iPhone app. It consists of nine high-def video art with sound. The collection is ecclectic with such video as a soothing Koi Fish Pond, LA and DC Downtown Time Lapse, Piranha Fish Tank, Deep Space Travel, and a House Party Background.

All loopable videos are shot on a Sony HDR and SLR digital cameras and include original music and sound composed by WithSound. There is the option to choose 'Random' or 'Play-All' to display a sequence of videos for possible display using an Appstand.
With Appstand, your iPhone slips into the plastic frame and any app turns it into a digital picture frame, but your iPhone or iPod is the only thing digital about it. This way, they offer a simple, and more affordable product versatile enough for a wide range of applications. One of those applications, 'Ambient Channel' seemed fitting for a product like Appstand.
