Does Thailand Threaten World Tourism Markets

As nations around the world gather to the world travel market in London, many scurry to find new ways to hold on or regain the tourist market they have recently lost, the land of smiles in Thailand is shining in value.

Nov. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- When it comes to value, few countries in today’s world can match value in tourism the way that Thailand does, pound for pound, euro for euro.

Thailand offers more than stunning beaches, breathtaking mountains, rivers and picturesque waterfalls that dreams are made of, it offers absolute real value for money.

Take for example food costs, where can anyone in the EU have
an amazing lunch for two for under 10 Euros?
The shopping does wonders for the wallet also, as does just about anything else you would want on holiday to just live it up, and get a real buzz from the good deal you just made.

The resorts are much more than tasteful, exotic in fact, and again, weighing up the cost of holiday accommodation in most other destinations, the euphoria one gets from the value of a Thailand holiday experience is at best, hard to beat.

Ask any European hotelier the reason why this is and you will hear, that Thailand has cheaper labor force, is not restricted by EU regulations, and that electricity, services and taxes that hotels in the EU are regulated and hotels must comply to be enabled to offer their services. Who cares?

A watchful eye on holiday in Thailand will instantly notice in ten seconds that smiles are upon the faces of shop clerks, hotel staff, in cafes and restaurants, as this is very much imbedded into their culture and way of life.

The world has some catching up to do to even begin to match the value and the amazing experience that a Thailand holiday offers to visitors.

Let’s face it, does any one care about the expenses of a Hotel operator more than their own expense when on holiday?

But it does not stop there, as real estate and other business opportunities are also high on the value scale and lower on the expense line of a cost report.

The abundance that Thailand offers to anyone visiting or setting up shop, retiring or using it as a second home destination are unmatchable, and that is why many at the World Travel Market are trying to get creative to attempt to add more value to their own overpriced offerings.

As the rest of world is coming to terms with how to deal with the economic crisis, Thailand has been an even bigger magnet to families and individuals looking for bargains and quality all bundled into one destination.

One company that has truly capitalized on pioneering even more value in Thailand is a resort operator that offers its rooms and suites for sale to vacationers wishing to buy into a leisure solution without the headaches.

Let’s compare luxury first, 5 Star service, deluxe suite in Europe. Prices range from 150 Euros a night to 500 plus.
So, how much would, say, a month of holidays cost? The quick and easy math tells us from 5000.00 Euros to 15,000 Euros.
If we wanted to plan on enjoying life, and plan to live for the next ten years, we would be looking at laying out between 50,000 to 150,000 Euros for our right to live like a king one month per year.

In Thailand, the company we discovered, Absolute Group, offers the stunning Bangla Suites in Phuket, a quality boutique resort, for sale to its customers. You can even buy in, for just a month per year. The cost of 10 years in this paradise location, is less than 20,000 Euros, with the option to sell then or extend free for another 10 or even 20 years through fractional ownership!
Do the math now.

“We just wanted to create an experience that our clients would want to buy into because it just makes sense says Bryan Lunt, Chairman of Absolute Group of Companies.
“Thailand gave us, as a company, the opportunity to create masterpiece resort offerings on the already existing backdrop of a stunning destination and compelling value offering” he added.
“Wait until you see our new YooPhuket resorts open here, it even blows me away” he said.
YooPhuket is already promising to become the address of choice in Thailand.

"The word is getting out about us here in Thailand for world class experiences and frankly, all people really want, at the end of the day is peace of mind, quality services and a bargain, and why not?" said Lunt.

“Do you think other tourism markets are not feeling the threat?" he grinningly asked. "I personally think they could absolutely learn a few lessons from Thailand," said Lunt.

It will be difficult for the rest of the world to offer anything close to what Thailand can offer in real honest to goodness value.

Thailand has set the benchmark on hospitality, service, price, attitude, while showcasing their God given amazing nature and beauty.

No wonder they are all smiling.
