Lenny the Lobster wants you - to build literacy.
D.L. Shiloh, author of "Pookoo" and the in-progress "Waiting for the End" has started a cause on Facebook. Shiloh tells readers to "save the money buying "Pookoo", download the book in a free PDF, and give to the adult literacy cause I set up."
"The story of it all was that my grandparents had to work and didn't get far in school. My grandfather couldn't read more than headlines. He retired from a good factory job but he wouldn't have been able to read my novels or newspaper journalism."
So Shiloh began the "Lenny the Lobster's Pookoo Improve Adult Literacy Group" on Facebook, which will benefit a Chicago literacy group. Donations may be made through the link to the site, http://apps.facebook.com/
November 15th is National Pookoo Google Search Day, in which visitors are invited to search Google for D.L. Shiloh and Pookoo links.
