Hillsborough Gallery of Arts Renovates and Expands Into New Space

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 07, 2009 – Hillsborough, NC - The Hillsborough Gallery of Arts, an artist-owned and operated fine arts gallery, has expanded into adjacent space and has a new storefront at 121 N. Churton Street.

“When the space adjacent to our gallery became available, it was too good an opportunity to pass up,” says glass artist and gallery president, Susan Hope.  “We worked nights and weekends to prepare the new space and are thrilled with our expanded footprint and greater visibility on Churton Street.”

Twenty established local artists, each with a specialty, exhibit their work in the gallery, which includes painting, hand-blown glass, fused glass, turned wood, metal sculpture, copper sculpture, pottery, photography, fiber, jewelry and enamels.

The gallery is open seven days a week and is always staffed by one of the artist-owners.  Gallery hours are 11 – 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-4 p.m. on Sundays, with expanded hours for the months of November and December.

On the last Fridays of the month, the gallery hosts a reception for one or more of its featured artists.  The Gallery Website is www.hillsboroughgallery.com.
