Immediately after "The Murder of Lehman Brothers" was published reviews began to trickle in. As the book began to surge in the Amazoin rankings, trending to be the best-selling Lehman book, reviews unfortunately shut down completely for nine days and only 3 appeared over the next weeks.
What is surprising is that the reviews went quiet just after ranking surged. This is counterintuitive. Tibman has reported receiving emails from readers that say they sent in reviews, but they never got posted. He has even heard from one very frustrated reader that he has been trying to get his review up for a month.
Tibman, on linkedin, in his Murder of Lehman Brothers group asked readers who have published reviews to let him know by email at josephtibman@
Tibman further reported that a publicist acquaintance who represents a number of authors has seen this before. Tibman has not accused Amazon of barring reviews on his book. He has said he believes it's a technical glitch, but needs more evidence from readers who post reviews to ensure that the problem is fixed.
Amazon does not generally speak directly to authors and independent publishers, but instead requires communication through website channels.
