WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
The People’s Music Awards is a new website where unsigned music artists, bands and producers can upload their music to be heard and voted for by the public and top industry professionals. We are the first and only global unsigned / new music awards. There are a variety of different categories artist can enter their music into, such as Hip hop, Indie, Rock, Dance, RnB etc… Bands can enter 1 song per awards cycle and there are 3 rounds:
Round 1: The people’s vote – where the public vote for their favourite bands and songs. Remember you have to vote for 3 songs for your votes to count in this round!
Round 2: The guest judges round, where music-industry professionals listen to, vote, and give useful feedback on the songs they have heard.
Round 3: The Peoples Vote (Final)
The final round is all up to the people to choose a winner. People simply select their favourtie atists in each category. The top 2 artists in each category will then go head to head until final voting closes, and will have the opportunity to play at the awards ceremony, where the winner(s) will be announced!
The winner of each category will not only receive the People’s Music Award trophy and the title ‘winner of the Peoples Music Awards 2009!’ but will also be included on our 2010 winners compilation album, which is distributed throughout the musc industry and will be made available for sale through The Peoples Music Awards website and associated music shops.
Tara has made it through to the final two! in both her categories!! ‘BEST FEMALE SOLO ARTIST’ AND ‘BEST SOUL/FUNK/BLUES ARTIST’ 2009 This is a massive achievement!!

With training in Acting, Musical and Technical Theatre, Tara London’s involvement in performance and composition dates back to the early days of her youth. Strong influences including Billie Holiday, Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin explain her passion for individuality and flair, especially in the adverse face of existing trends. Always projecting a sound that inspires an emotive response within her, the desire to spread this feeling to those around her is the main drive behind this hugely talented musician, caring little for the conventional trappings of fame and fortune. Tara’s music is a fusion of jazz, blues and retro pop, think Eva Cassidy meets Duffy!
