MAHARISHI MARKANDESHWAR University, Mullana (Ambala) hosted an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Workshop on 'Research Methodology for Dental Professionals'in collaboration with the Dental Council of India. It is for the first time when ICMR has conducted a workshop in the premises of any private university. That brings changes in the study standard of universities and on other hand education standards for its students also raises.

The workshop was conducted by "Dr Bela Shah" chief of Centre for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), New Delhi. Along with them there are many other famous personalities of medical world were present there Dr Anil Kohli, President, Dental Council of India; Dr Ashoo Grover, Scientist, ICMR; Prof S G Damle, vice chancellor, M M University and faculty of the Dental and Medical college, MM University. The aspects of how to carry a dental research is the main agend of the workshop where they described intricacies and salient aspects of carrying out a dental research. Dr Anil Kohli also enlightened the gathering on his proposed project on the formation of nation-wide database on dental diseases and dental professionals. Donation was also made by Tarsem Kumar Garg, Chancellor of MM University towards the cause. “We have conducted this workshop here to enable a meaningful conveyance of the outcomes into appropriate clinical applications so that the ultimate purpose of 'health for all' is achieved for the masses at large,” said Dr Bela Shah.
