FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 07, 2009 – India offers Laparoscopic Splenectomy surgery at different health care centers of Delhi, Goa and Kerala, with most advanced accommodation and treatment facilities. Welcome to the India tourism & medical treatment in India. India is one of the best place for the medical treatment or any other health care in India. Every year thousand of visitors are coming to India from around the world just for the medical check up and other type of surgery related to Bone or liver or others diseases. Medical tourism has become a common form of vacationing, and covers a broad spectrum of medical services. Medical tourism mixes leisure, fun and relaxation together with wellness and healthcare for the treatment of Laparoscopic Splenectomy surgery in India. A splenectomy is a procedure that involves the removal of the spleen by operative means.
Laparoscopic splenectomy is the surgical removal of the spleen. It differs from the traditional 'open' technique in that the procedure is performed through small incisions. This usually allows a much faster recovery and is significantly less painful. Laparoscopic removal of the spleen is not recommended for cases of trauma because intra-abdominal bleeding interferes with the surgeon's ability to visualize the blood vessels and splenic attachments. Spleens which are massively enlarged may also pose a problem for the surgeon because the size of the spleen restricts the visualization and manipulation of the spleen. Portal hypertension is usually another contraindication to any type of splenectomy. In general, spleens are removed by laparoscopy (minimal access surgery) when the spleen is not too large and when the procedure is elective. It is performed by open surgery for trauma or large spleens. Both methods are major surgeries, and are performed under general anesthesia. The spleen is located and disconnected from its arteries. The ligaments holding the spleen in place are dissected and the spleen is removed. When indicated a drain is left in place and the incision(s) is closed. If necessary, tissue samples are sent to a laboratory for analysis. India has originated as one of the most important hubs for Laparoscopic Splenectomy surgery. Many people from the developed countries come to India for the rejuvenation promised by yoga and Ayurvedic massage however, a nice blend of top-class medical expertise at attractive prices is helping more and more Indian corporate hospitals to lure foreign patients, including patients from developed nations such as the UK and the US, for high end surgeries. Many countries have developed links for speedy treatments in India for their nationals on account of the fact that in these countries one has to wait for extended periods of time to undergo operations.
