Project PRO (Privacy & Reputation Online) was rolled out at the American School Counselors Association’s annual meeting in Dallas, Texas, earlier this year. The teaching tool includes digital resources for adults and children with instructions on how they can manage their own online reputations, as well as presentations designed to illustrate the dangers of not being careful when posting information to the Internet. Another study conducted by a software developer concluded that younger Internet users, particularly those 18 to 29, are more likely to accept friend requests from strangers than older web users.
