Boston, MA -- Sustainable Construction Services, a green building firm, together with ZeroEnergy Design, an architecture and mechanical design firm, created an award winning modern bathroom in Newton, Massachusetts. It garnered a prestigious Gold Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award presented by the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (EM-NARI). The CotY Awards recognize exceptional remodeling projects completed over the past year, announcing them at the Evening of Excellence Awards Banquet.
The same project also recently garnered the Silver PRISM Award for “Best Bathroom Renovation”, as given by the Builders Association of Greater Boston.

The new master bathroom is a clean, modern oasis within the traditional home, incorporating twin sinks for the couple, ample countertop area, a shower with a clear glass surround, and a sleek tub directly beneath the windows.
“Together, ZeroEnergy Design and Sustainable Construction Services created a phenomenal master bathroom, now clearly highlighted by a second honor, the Gold CotY Award”, said Adam Prince, Business Development Principal at ZeroEnergy Design.
The master bathroom was part of a larger renovation by the team including a thermal envelope upgrade for the entire house, complete plumbing & electrical replacement, complete systems upgrade (new high efficiency heating & cooling, heat recovery ventilator, indirect hot water, high efficiency lighting), the addition of a new mudroom with half bath, and three bathroom renovations.
