Quickly acting on Jay-Z's revelation, the Lunar Geographic Society announced today that Jay-Z is now the legally registered owner of 100 acres of premium real estate on the Moon.
The property, administered by the International Lunar Lands Registry (http://www.illr.org), is located in the Moon's beautiful Sea of Clouds district (http://www.lunarregistry.com/
Jay-Z, who was born Sean Carter and grew up in Brooklyn, has released eleven solo albums during his storied career, including his most recent, September's "The Blueprint 3."
He has also served as president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, and is the creative director of Rocawear and majority owner of Roc Apparel, Rocawear's menswear division. He's also a part owner of the NBA's New Jersey Nets.
In October, the Lunar Geographic Society and Yoko Ono announced the designation of the John Lennon Peace Crater on the Moon, in honor of John's role as an activist for peace:
