Credit Union holds naming contest for teen program-EXTENDED!!

Plymouth, MI – Parkside Credit Union wants local teens to learn that saving now builds good financial habits for the future, so they’ve created a contest to motivate local youth.

The winner of the best new name for their Youth Account Program gets a $225 gift card to Laurel Park Place mall.  “There’s nothing glamorous about saving money - especially to youth,” says Jamie Arindaeng Marketing Director for Parkside Credit Union. “We all know it’s important; but there’s nothing wrong with making it a little fun, too.”  Parkside hopes that by using social media and giving teens input on the program, it will help them feel more invested. “These teens have grown up with social media and are used to commenting on everything,” says Arindaeng. “It felt like the natural way to go.”

The winner will be chosen on November 30, 2009. Contest is open to persons 17-25 years old.
