In the November edition of Realize the Value of Information with Agilex, Dominic Delmolino of Agilex Technologies evaluates the pro’s and con’s of upgrading to the recently released Oracle 11g Release 2 database and the Oracle Exadata database machine.  In addition, he discusses the steps that several government agencies have taken to implement Database Competency Centers to improve the performance of their mission-critical systems.  Delmolino also shares his near-term prognosis for the prospects of data cloud/information-as-a-services strategies at the federal level.

Delmolino serves as Vice President for System Architecture within Agilex’ advanced research group.  He leverages his expertise in data replication, business data profiling, database management and deployment processes to help public sector leaders improve the performance, resiliency and reliability of their mission-critical systems.  

Previously, he spent ten years with Oracle Corporation, where he co-founded the company’s System Performance Group.  This in-house consultancy worked with many of Oracle’s most strategic clients to optimize the performance of the company’s flagship database.  Subsequently, he served with Network Solutions as the company’s Senior Director of Database Engineering.  In this capacity, he established the company’s database architecture development and deployment process while consolidating seven operational databases down to two.
