Sandy Abalos Presents At Maricopa Co. Bar Association

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 06, 2009 – PHOENIX – Sandy Abalos, managing partner of Abalos & Associates, PLLC (www.abaloscpa.com), will present at the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Estate Planning Probate and Trust Law Section seminar on Year-End Tax Planning on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.  The seminar will be held at the temporary Bar Association offices, located at 2001 North Third St., suite 204.  Abalos will present with Ira Feldman on tax matters that individual lawyers and their clients should consider regarding year-end tax planning and decision making.  

Abalos will address several topics, including tax consequences of forgiveness of indebtedness as taxable or nontaxable income, the certainty of higher federal income taxes as the Bush tax reductions are sunseted – and its consequences for planning, the congressional movement, or lack thereof, on federal estate and gift taxes, and transferring appreciated securities to children who then sell.
