SautinSoft  announces PDF Metamorphosis .Net 3.0.5. Written in 100% managed C#, the library enables the developer to embed PDF conversion capabilities within .NET applications. The new version introduces support for new CSS styles to provide more precise conversion from HTML to PDF, improved algorithm of HTML table conversion, enhanced conversion from RTF to PDF, new samples of using PDF Metamorphosis .Net in ASP.Net, VB and C#, and improved online demo application at http://www.sautinsoft.net.

PDF Metamorphosis.Net is a standalone library for .NET. Software developers building desktop or server-based applications on this platform can embed powerful PDF conversion capabilities within their own 32-bit and 64-bit .NET applications, including ASP.NET, Web Services and WinForms. Because PDF Metamorphosis is a class library, the developer needs to add only a few lines of code to implement it. Once embedded, the library enables the application to convert plain text, RTF, HTML, and XHTML to Adobe PDF along with the tables, nested images, CSS styles, hyperlinks, fonts, colors and text formatting. The application will be able to convert the source provided as URL link or file, split and merge Adobe PDF documents. For example, the developer can create a website that enables visitors to upload documents, or enter URL addresses that point to a webpage and get them converted to PDF.

“Easy implementation and independent nature are two main selling points, attracting developers to our library. The developer needs to add only “PdfMetamorphosis.dll” into the application, without third-party DLLs and dependencies, while most other solutions rely on standard Windows DLL libraries for conversion. To parse HTML, for example, a typical conversion application uses mshtml.dll, which comes with Internet Explorer. By contrast, PDF Metamorphosis can open an HTML or XHTML file with CSS, or even download it from the Internet, read the content of HTML, recognize tags and transform to Adobe PDF – all on its own,” says Max Sautin, CEO of SautinSoft.

The library is fully compatible with the latest Adobe PDF specification, providing high-performance PDF conversion. There is no need for Adobe Acrobat®, Microsoft Office® or other software installed to produce PDF files.

PDF Metamorphosis .Net requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and higher and starts at $239 for a single-developer license. Distribution of PDF Metamorphosis.Net component is royalty-free.
