Information security consultancy Adviza Consultants announced today it is continuing its expansion with the appointment of Piers Wilson to its senior management team.
Piers Wilson joins Adviza from Siemens Enterprise Communications where, as Head of Technical Assurance, he ran the government, security testing and large enterprise professional services capability that Siemens acquired from the Insight Consulting business back in 2004.
Piers joins Adviza as a Managing Principal Consultant with a remit to expand the services offered, support the ongoing marketing, sales and business development activities and to give extra focus to Adviza’s operational and customer account management.
Adviza Consultants provides information security assurance, resilience, continuity and related services to both public and private sector customers from its base in Camberley, Surrey and has enjoyed growth in business volumes and customers.
This senior level appointment underpins its commitment to the growing government Information Assurance marketplace and will enable it to capitalise on opportunities as the private sector emerges from the current recession.
Piers Wilson, an alumni of the well respected Royal Holloway MSc in Information Security and a CESG approved CLAS consultant has become a well known face in the security service provision arena.
On the new role, Piers commented:
"This is a very exciting time within the information security industry; initiatives to improve security across the public sector, the recently announced government cyber-security strategy and the continued expansion of on-line services mean there are significant opportunities for growth.
I'm looking forward to helping Adviza achieve its strategic objectives to become a recognised and leading provider of independent and trustworthy security advice."
Director, John Bartlett, added:
"We are delighted to bring Piers on board at this time, the current opportunity and flux in the marketplace gives Adviza a unique opportunity and I'm confident that together we have the right attitude and talents within Adviza to capitalise on this."
