11th ANNUAL ROCK ‘N RETAIL HOLIDAY CD/DVD/MERCHANDISE DRIVE BENEFITING CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, LOS ANGELES
Sherman Oaks, CA – 11 years ago, Gale Rosenberg, President of Rock ‘n Retail, recognized a simple need at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, while her 16 month old niece Paige, was being treated for a neuroblastoma. Rosenberg recalls, “…I spoke with many young cancer patients, some that had not left the hospital in several years. Most all of them had personal CD players that had been donated, but they had only one or two CDs to idle away the time.”
Over the years, Rock ‘n Retail has collected thousands of donated CDs and DVDs for Children’s Hospital. This holiday season, with your generosity, Rock ‘n Retail hopes to make this year’s drive their best year ever.
Donation Deadline – Donations Must be Received by Friday, December 4th 2009
In light of the H1N1 outbreak, it’s going to be a tough holiday season for the kids at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Due to the highly contagious nature of this virus, CHLA has imposed quarantines, restricted visitation, and cancelled all holiday parties at the hospital. In our current economy, the Holidays will be even more difficult for the parents of these extremely ill children, as well as the children and teenage patients themselves.
With your help, Rock ‘n Retail will be collecting donations to distribute to the patients at Children’s Hospital. Donations must be received by Friday, December 4th 2009.
Please send any CDs, DVDs and/or merchandise to (please keep explicit to a minimum):

- On the outside package, include the following note: “DELIVER TO SIDE ENTRANCE.”
- Include in your package with donation: Company name, contact person, phone and email address.
While Rock ‘n Retail staffers will be unable to personally witness the smiles, thank yous and hugs we normally get when we deliver the many donations, we are assured by Wendy Kellaris, Director of Volunteer Services at CHLA that the children and teenagers will indeed receive your donations and that they will no doubt be even more grateful this year due to all H1N1 restrictions;
