LazBro, Inc.’s latest Facebook application asks “What kind of Film Freak are you?” The 2009 AFI Fest sponsored by Audi branded Film Freak application allows users to select the film genre of their choice. The eight genres are: Documentary, Action, Romance, Noir, Comedy, Western, Horror, and Sci-Fi. Once a genre is selected, the user can then display it in the form of a badge on their Facebook profile, as well as publish it on their Facebook wall. There is also a “send to a friend” functionality where a Facebook user’s friend can then obtain their own Film Freak badge as well. Each time a badge is selected or changed, a notification is posted on the user’s wall, creating more visibility for the application.
The timely release of the badge is in support of the American Film Institute’s 2009 AFI Fest sponsored by Audi film festival. LazBro, Inc. was tapped by the American Film Institute to help expand their social media and marketing efforts.
