Matt Eshleman, B.A., ERYT500, has many years of experience teaching yoga and meditation. Matt has studied neurology and psychology at the graduate level and has a strong interest in the philosophical and medical traditions of the East. Matt has completed a 200 hour certification in Larry Schultz’s system of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga from It’s Yoga, and earned his 500 hour certification through his studies of Anatomy, Taoist Yoga and Meditation with his mentor Paul Grilley, and has also studied Taoist Yoga with Paulie Zink. Matt is a trained Thai Yoga Massage therapist, Reiki level 2 practitioner, a student of Martial Arts, and is an adjunct professor at Cincinnati State, where he helps lead the yoga teacher training program.
Anita Eshleman, RYT, is a certified yoga teacher with a background in education with a BA in Elementary Education from Miami University and a Master's degree in Education Administration from the University of Cincinnati. Anita began practicing yoga as a way to unwind and maintain fitness after a long day of teaching. She introduced yoga to her students and saw the peace this brought to the classroom. She wanted to share this love of yoga with others. She completed her Registered Yoga Teaching (RYT) certification with an emphasis in Ashtanga Yoga at Yoga Ah Studio in Cincinnati. She currently works as an educational consultant and teaches a variety of yoga classes including Kids Yoga, Core Yoga and conducts weekend yoga workshops.
Sherman Fracher, RYT, has been a professional actress for 25 years. When she discovered the practice of yoga in 2000 she immediately realized its potential to change her life not just as an actress but also as a human being. After attending teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2003, she became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) recognized by the Yoga Alliance and the Kripalu Yoga Teacher’s Association. Julianna Bloodgood found yoga after studying dance for 20 years. Her work as an actress has led to a deep curiosity of the human body and it's full potential of expression and creation. Yoga has been her abiding grace over the past 8 years and a constant source of inspiration, comfort, energy and a peace offering a foundation for life. She is honored to be able to share her profound experience with yoga to others and hopes to give all of her students an opportunity to conect to themselves on a deeper level.
Robin Selzer, Ph.D., has been a certified pilates instructor since 2005. Her love of Ashtanga/Hatha yoga led her to pilates. She teaches pilates mat and reformer classes, as well as pilates on the stability ball. Her dissertation research was written about African American women’s body image. Lauren Barlag is a Cincinnati native, bhakti yogini practicing ahimsa. She believes that keeping awareness of the spirit that resides in all of us as a focal point in every yoga class is essential. Lauren strives to live sustainable conserving and redirecting energy for positive change. She encourages individuals to embrace their true nature and discover what connects us all, the spirit and oneness of being. Lauren has gained knowledge deepening her relationship with nature studying Outdoor Leadership at Northern Arizona University and completing an instructor's leadership training with Outward Bound. She is certified to lead and teach others in wilderness skills such as rock climbing, white water rafting, backpacking and mountaineering. Lauren has completed her 200-hour yoga certification with Cincinnati State and is near the completion of an advanced 500-hour yoga certification. Lauren is also certified in Thai Yoga Massage and completed her coursework with Lotus Palm at Satchidananda Ashram. She is continuing her yoga studies with Doug Swenson, David Life and Sharon Gannon. Lauren uses yoga as a medium to heal and create an abundance of joy for all animals, people and the earth. Along with teaching yoga Lauren runs an eco-friendly cleaning business creating a refreshing sacred home space. She enjoys training for marathons, cooking and preparing raw and vegan foods, planting and harvesting. Christine MacConnell, RYT-200hr has been practicing yoga steadily since 2000, focusing on Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha Yoga. Teaching and subbing since 2006, in 2008, she received her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Certification from It’s Yoga-Cincinnati, and she is a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She currently teaches in several diverse studios and clubs, with a wide range of students, from beginner to more advanced levels. In addition to yoga, MacConnell is a freelance writer with a master’s degree in creative writing, and she yearns to bring this creativity and passion into her teaching style. Combining a sense of hope, awareness, self-refection, and strength, when teaching, she hopes to help others on the path of individual growth, paying attention to the whole being— mind, body, and spirit. Wednesday Harrell is Yoga Alliance certified (200hrs) in the discipline of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. She discovered Ashtanga while living in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2001. She studied with Larry Schultz at the original It's Yoga (aka the Mothership) in San Francisco in 2006, and currently teaches mixed level classes specializing in unpredictable sequencing, targeting hips and incorporating inversions.
Rena Becker is a Cincinnati area native. She is a Reiki Master who is also certified to teach Yoga and Pilates mat classes. She received her Levels 1 and 2 Usui Reiki certifications while living in Arizona in 2003; and her Master/Teacher level in both Usui and the Karuna Luna Magical Passages styles in 2004 in Northern California. She recently completed a comprehensive 100+hour Pilates Mat Instructor Certification through Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. She has also completed the Yoga Alliance Recognized 200-hour Holistic Yoga Teacher Certification through Cincinnati State. Rena offers Reiki sessions, Yoga, Pilates and Yoga-Pilates fusion classes in the area as well as Reiki workshops, Vegan Transition workshops, Chakra and Subtle Anatomy workshops and Holistic Living Guidance. She is a dedicated vegan and World Peace activist and infuses all that she does with this energy of non-violence to offer an experience of love, peace, joy and healing. She currently lives in the Cincinnati area with her two beautiful children.
Alison Vodnoy came to dance as a child, and came to yoga as a woman with a whole lot of questions about how to combat violence. She has found a whole lot of answers and even more questions in both physical practices. Over nineteen years of dancing, three years on the mat, and seven years teaching dance, she’s formed the hypothesis that answers always lie in the body. Alison has trained with Ballet Chicago, is a 200hr RYT Yoga Alliance Certified instructor, and teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha classes at You Do Yoga, Mercy Healthplex, Anderson Wellness Connections, and Yoga Connection.
