Boston University Launches New Online Master of Science in Health Communication Program Website

New BU website provides prospective students with program information as well as relevant industry news and career resources for the rapidly emergent field of health communication.

BOSTON - Boston University's College of Communication and Metropolitan College are proud to announce the official launch of the new online Master of Science in Health Communication website, http://healthcommunication.bu.edu/. In addition to providing prospective students with in-depth information about the online degree program, curriculum, faculty and student perspectives; the new website supports a wealth of information relating to the health communication industry, career opportunities, interviews with industry insiders, and resources for health professionals.

"This is an extraordinary moment in time for health communicators to make a genuine and lasting difference.  The challenges facing the profession have never been more daunting just as the opportunities have never been greater," said Steve Quigley, co-coordinator for the online MSHC program and Associate Professor of Public Relations at BU’s College of Communication.

A dynamic career path focused on the delivery of health information and education through targeted multimedia marketing and community outreach, the health communication industry continues to expand to fully address emerging health concerns. Visitors to the new website http://healthcommunication.bu.edu/ are encouraged to browse the site to learn more about the field, discover health communication in action, research careers in the industry, and view the principles that drive the need for new health communication professionals.

Boston University’s online Master of Science in Health Communication program is committed to educating and helping to shape progressive health communicators, while equipping them with the tools needed to effectively communicate public/personal health issues. The overall goal of the Master of Science in Health Communication program is to help students create a stimulating career they can be proud of, while using their communication and marketing talents to create a healthier and safer world for everyone.
