Barry Schofield, CEO of Zenloc Security Systems Ltd., was amongst the 2009 winners of the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards to attend the recent breakfast launch of the 2010 awards. The launch event, which took place on the 1st October 2009, saw the winners from the inaugural year gather together to swap success stories following their win, and to mark the opening of entries for the 2010 awards. The Zenloc Container Security Alarm won the prize for 'Innovation in Manufacturing' at this year’s award ceremony in March.
The Gatwick Diamond is the term coined for the area from Reigate to the Coast and from Dorking to the other side of Burgess Hill. The Gatwick Diamond Business Association created the awards to celebrate any business or organisation within the region that proves excellence in one of a number of fields, from sales and manufacturing to environmental awareness and customer satisfaction. Zenloc Security Systems Ltd. was honoured in this year’s awards for The Zenloc Container Alarm. Judges commented at the time that the Zenloc was “a product that was innovated in the true sense of the word, a product that brings both safety and security to the drivers and goods. It's also an expanding market which will bring extra opportunities to the Crawley area. The company presented itself well, a good demonstration of the product and gave a good account of where it is today and the future plans.”
Speaking at this month’s Awards Breakfast, Barry Schofield reflected as to what the win had meant for the company and for the groundbreaking product: “"The award has raised the profile of Zenloc both here, in Europe and recently in the USA.
