The CD includes 20 tracks from various artists and musical genres with the title track, "We Will Be There" which was recorded at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, BC Canada. Eric also sang the lead vocals on the track which can be heard at the official website at www.cd4thetroops.com. The public can order the CD online or at select retail outlets worldwide on or after November 11, 2009.
The CD is expected to raise millions worldwide to support those who risk and some who give their lives to protect our great nations. This project has had amazing support from the Independent Music Industry and further demonstrates the power of music in helping others and bringing people together for a common goal.
Internationally known music producer, James Miller is based in the Metro Vancouver community of Surrey, BC Canada. he says, "it was an extreme pleasure to be involved with this project and the interest by musicians and artists was over whelming. We had to turn so many away due to limits on the number of tracks. Music fans who purchase the CD will also find a high value in the purchase as they will not only have a CD full of amazing tracks but they will also be able to log onto the website www.cd4thtroops.com after November 11 to download a further 20 bonus tracks from various artists.
Independents For Independence will also be performing a tribute at the WHL (Western Hockey League) game in Chilliwack, BC on November 11, 2009 when the Bruins host the Vancouver Giants. They will also perform at venues throughout 2010 including Canada's largest music Festival, Indiefest 2010 (www.indiefest2010.com)
It was an even further pleasure to be honored with the opportunity to present a pre-release copy of the CD to former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Although he is no longer in office, he continues to demonstrate his passion towards a world of peace. He is a person who should be recognized as much for what he has done in office as well as since he has left office. Not to mention his amazing sense of humor. "I am curious if he enjoyed listening to the CD after the summit." says, James Miller.
