Mooney has invited local health officials, clergy and residents to join him in announcing a nationwide AIDS testing campaign at Composite Yacht, LLC. “We are happy support your mission”, said Judy Strong of Talbot County Health Department.
“Our goal is for health departments, clergy and the community to collaborate for this cause nationwide, said Victor Mooney.”
Mooney, a long time advocate for AIDS testing, has lost one brother to AIDS and has another that’s HIV+. He is a college public affairs officer in Brooklyn, New York. Mooney plans to begin the 5,000 mile solo journey early next year from Cape Verde in a rowboat named Never Give Up.
