Howl-O-Ween at Camp Bow Wow Kemah Saves the Danes

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 04, 2009 – On October 28, the pups at Camp Bow Wow in Kemah had a howlin’ good time at the 1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Party.  There was plenty of food, fun and prizes for all.  Both the dogs and their owners arrived in costume.  While the pups went bobbing for hot dogs, and helped themselves to some homemade pumpkin treats, their owners helped raise money for the Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas.  A raffle drawing was held for donated items and gift certificates from local businesses including Beyond Beaute, Camp Bow Wow, Customer Keepers, D’Vine Wine, E-Z Tan, Kemah Bella Spa, Lakewood Photography and Plan Ahead Events.  A photo booth was set up for photos, which were posted on Facebook for the proud moms and dads to share.  The Great Dane rescue organization is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and providing help for homeless Great Danes in the southeast Texas area.  Through the help of Camp Bow Wow, the Howl-O-Ween Party raised $500 for the organization.  According to volunteer, Judy Jones, the funds will be used for heartworm treatment in some recently acquired Great Danes.
